Inside Electrical<\/h2>[vc_column_text]The Area II Inside Electrical apprenticeship program<\/span><\/b> is a 4-year course that combines hands-on apprenticeship and classroom instruction at the IETC in Salem, OR. The goal is to prepare students to obtain a <\/span>General Journeyman License<\/span><\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

As an Inside Electrician, you’ll work in various sites from residential homes to modern industrial plants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Inside Electrician Responsibilities:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Wire up lighting systems, switches, converters, and computer systems<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n

    Graduates of this program are eligible for a <\/span>Limited Residential Electrical License<\/span><\/b>. This allows operating on one, two-family, or multi-family dwellings that don’t exceed three floors above grade.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

          We are proud partners with Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) of Oregon and The Area II Inside Electrical Committee. Our affiliation with Chemeketa Community College allows apprentices to receive college credits toward an associate degree and potentially qualify for financial aid.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

          • Classroom Instruction:<\/span> This takes place at IETC. Classes are conducted two evenings per week during fall, winter, and spring.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
