School Information<\/h2>[vc_column_text]The Independent Electrical Training Center (IETC)<\/strong>, a combined initiative by IEC of Oregon and Area II Inside Electrical JATC, specializes in both apprentice training and providing continuing education to licensed journey workers. The Salem-based training center is readily accessible, located off I-5 at exit 258.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The IETC prides itself on its ample 10,000-square-foot space that includes five well-equipped classrooms and two permanent training labs. These facilities support IETC’s mission of delivering high-quality, in-class training that adheres to IEC National’s nationally recognized curriculum and is accredited by Chemeketa Community College.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apprenticeship classes are held twice a week during fall, winter, and spring.\u00a0 Classes are Monday through Thursday in the evenings from 6 PM to 9 PM.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Registration & Class Information<\/h2>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1706571285830{margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”]The IETC Education Director, Jeff Hooper, will email out school information for the entire school year in July. Students will need to register for classes with both Chemeketa Community College and with IETC.<\/strong> Tuition information for each term will be emailed out one month prior to the start of term. Please see the Inside Electrical calendar for school dates.<\/p>\n

Financial Aid<\/h2>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1706572087103{margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”]The Independent Electrical Training Trust awards scholarships on an annual basis.<\/strong> Information on scholarships is emailed out each spring, and the scholarships are awarded in July.<\/p>\n

Inside Electrical and Limited Residential Wage Scales<\/h3>\n

The Area II Inside Electrical JATC Committee collected a wage survey from all registered training agents.\u00a0 The wage was calculated by adding all the reported average hourly wages and dividing the total number of participating training agents.<\/p>\n
