The dark green leaves are slightly hairy, round to oval shaped with toothed and scalloped margins. Inflorescence is a tall spike with the bell shaped flowers densely arranged terminally (the top of the flowering stem), the sepals that form the bell of the flower are white with pink margins. Fruit are small capsules. The entire plant is covered in short hairs. Blooms in the spring between April and May<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ecology:<\/strong>\u00a0found east of the cascades to Western Montana preferring arid regions, such as open forests, grasslands, rocky slopes and plateaus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Growing Conditions:<\/strong>\u00a0full sun to partial shade, in well-drained moist to dry soil, drought tolerant.<\/p>\n<p>Bees love the creamy flowers.
